Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-11
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Execution Over Emotion (“EOE,” “we,” “us”), operated by Secnetic Solutions, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the EOE application and website. It applies to visitors, registered users, and subscribers.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication data. When you create an account, we (through our authentication provider, Supabase Auth) collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We do not receive or store your plaintext password.
Trade and journal data. Information you choose to enter or upload - trades, executions, strategies, journal entries, daily-journal rule checks, and screenshots you attach to a trade or journal entry - is stored in our database and, for screenshots and imported files, in private, access-controlled file storage. Only your own authenticated session can read your own trade, journal, and screenshot data; storage access rules enforce this at the database level.
Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment details directly and processes your payment; we do not receive or store your full card number. We store the subscription and customer identifiers Stripe returns to us (such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing interval) so we can determine your access to paid features.
Application and security logs. Like most web applications, our hosting and application infrastructure generates operational logs (e.g., request metadata, and structured security-event logs for things like failed sign-up/sign-in attempts or rate-limit checks) used for debugging, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are not used for advertising.
CAPTCHA verification. When you create an account or sign in, our bot-protection provider, Cloudflare Turnstile, runs a challenge in your browser and issues a verification token, which our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) validates server-side. Cloudflare’s own privacy practices govern data Turnstile itself processes while running that challenge in your browser.
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how our website and application are used in aggregate - for example, which pages are viewed, which marketing campaign or link a visit came from, and whether a visit led to starting a trial or a subscription. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser for this purpose and processes the associated usage data on our behalf; Google’s own privacy practices govern that processing. We do not send your trade, journal, or screenshot data to Google Analytics.
Mailing list. If you request the free Session Card at eoetrader.com/sessioncard, we store the email address you submit, the date and wording of the consent you were shown, the campaign or referring link the visit came from, and whether and when you downloaded the card. We use it to send you the card and occasional updates about EOE and the book Execution Over Emotion, as the form told you at the time. The address is also synchronized to Resend, our email delivery provider, so those messages can be sent. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any of those emails or writing to our support address; we honour an unsubscribe permanently and never re-add an address that has opted out. You do not need an EOE account to request the card, and a mailing-list address is not an account.
Cookies and local/session storage. We use the cookies our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) sets to keep you signed in, browser storage needed for the application to function (for example, remembering an in-progress UI preference), and the analytics cookies described above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not run advertising scripts in the application.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and secure your account and the trade-journal/market-context functionality you use.
- To process subscription payments and determine access to paid features.
- To protect EOE and its users from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access (including rate limiting and CAPTCHA verification on account creation and sign-in).
- To communicate with you about your account, such as email confirmation, password reset, or service notices.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate EOE, each acting as a processor of information on our behalf:
- Supabase - database, authentication, and file storage.
- Stripe - payment processing and subscription billing.
- Vercel - application hosting and delivery.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile) - bot/abuse protection on account creation.
- Google (Google Analytics) - website and application usage measurement.
- Resend - delivery of the Session Card email and any future EOE or book updates you subscribe to.
EOE’s market-context and gamma/options-analytics features are calculated using data obtained from third-party market-data providers. These are server-side, non-personalized requests for market data (quotes, options chains, economic-calendar and news content) -- they do not include your name, email, or any other information that identifies you.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EOE, our users, or others.
5. Data retention
We retain your account, trade, and journal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, our account-deletion process removes your trading accounts, trades, journal entries, and associated screenshots. Some records - such as billing/subscription history required for financial recordkeeping, and the append-only Terms/Privacy acceptance log described below - are retained independently of account deletion, consistent with their audit purpose.
6. Terms/Privacy acceptance records
When you accept our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy (at signup, or when re-prompted after a version update), we record an append-only entry containing your user ID, the Terms/Privacy version you accepted, when you accepted, and whether the acceptance happened during signup or through the in-app prompt for existing users. We do not collect your IP address for this record. This log exists solely to demonstrate consent and is not used for any other purpose.
7. Your choices
You can review and update certain account information from Settings. You can delete your account and its associated data from Settings. You can cancel a paid subscription at any time; see the Terms of Service for what happens to your access afterward.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including access controls that restrict your trade, journal, and screenshot data to your own authenticated session, durable rate limiting on account creation and sign-in, and CAPTCHA verification on account creation and sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a change that requires renewed consent, you will be asked to review and accept the updated Privacy Policy again before continuing to use EOE.
